Mildred's Food + Drink

I love Mildred’s in downtown KC, and I think this new location is a great addition to the Plaza/Brookside area. Mildred’s coffee shop offers a straightforward menu with a nice array of sandwiches, salads, and soups. I can see myself both enjoying brunch with friends or working alone on my laptop. This location is spacious, and I love the natural light! As a note, I noticed somebody else left a one star review about Mildred’s opening day - this goes to show how experiences are not universal. I was also there on opening day, and my whole table had a great time! Sure, it was busy and wait times were longer. But these things sometimes happen, especially on opening days. (Also ONE star bad? Not in my opinion). It wasn’t a big deal to me. My food was warm and delicious, and I thought the staff was very professional and kind.

Absolutely loved this place! The breakfast burritos are packed with flavor, the coffee is top-notch, and there’s a great selection of delicious pastries. Can’t wait to come back.

This was my first visit to Mildred’s, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the standard sandwich on wheat. You can select your favorite bread from several different types offered. Service was fast, despite having picked up just before we arrived. Staff was very polite. Will definitely be back.

I took my first bite of the vegetarian wrap and literally said “holy s***” to the dude in the car beside me. I added cheese, guac and extra sauce to mine because most vegetarian/vegan breakfast burritos are bland and need the help. This didn’t need the extra fixin AT ALL. Beautifully seasoned scramble! The turmeric in the tofu scramble goes PERFECTLY with the chipotle aoli. I will definitely be back. Incredible!

So happy they opened a Plaza location! Monte Cristo sandwich is incredible and the jalapeño bread is unmatched. Services was wonderful-they were all so sweet!

Great place for 3 of us to meet and coordinate VITA site planning. Clean, comfortable, and relaxed at lunchtime. My sandwich was loaded with turkey, although I would have enjoyed a little more spice. Others spoke well of their selections. Location was easy to find, parking garage on north end of the building, tickets validated when we paid for our meals.

Love the new location. Mildred's already has great coffee and some of the best breakfast wraps in town(fluffy steamed eggs y'all) and their third location brings their fare to the plaza area. Like their other locations the atmosphere is great, food and drinks are excellent and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

I got the breakfast burrito and it was amazing! The chili mayo sauce they use has so much flavor. I love both locations but the one on south plaza has an upstairs dining area that is incredible.
